Relational, affirming and collaborative
Therapeutic Approach
A thoughtful, creative approach grounded in psychodynamic, relational, attachment, interpersonal, and family-systems perspectives.
My approach to therapy is informed by psychodynamic, relational, and attachment theories, drawing from an interpersonal and family-systems framework. With couples, I primarily work from Relational Life Therapy and the Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy. We identify problematic patterns and work to shift them in ways that increase intimacy, growth, and emotional and relational self-awareness.
It can be hard to see patterns that are not working from the viewpoint of being on the inside looking out. Together, we can deconstruct challenging patterns and build or restore healthy, thriving relationships.
A relationship tailored to you
I tailor our sessions to you as an individual or to your unique relationship. You are the expert on your own life; I will not prescribe what is best for you or your healing process. I offer a kind, thoughtful, supportive, and creative presence, with attention to present-moment awareness and the strengths you bring to our work.
An inclusive practice
I offer an affirming and inclusive space across the spectrum of gender, sexuality, and relationship diversity. Our work may involve identities and life experiences that have been marginalized, and my approach considers how systems of power and oppression influence our ability to live and thrive in our bodies and communities.
I practice from a feminist perspective with a social-justice, intersectional, and anti-racism lens. As a cisgender woman in a white, able body, I continue to deepen my understanding of my own privilege and remain open to dialogue about where I can learn and do more.
