About Scott

Special Note: Due to my current workload, I am unable to accept new clients into my practice at this time.

Here are a few facts about my background and a short description of who I am as a therapist and person that may be useful to you.

I have been studying and applying psychotherapy for the past 7 years. My career as a helping professional began as a K-12 teacher; after earning a PhD in instructional development I have taught education and psychology at the college level for many years. I have been happily married for 33 years and have two grown children. My main approaches as a therapist include integral psychotherapy, the Internal Family Systems model, and psychodrama.

My goal in the client/therapist relationship is, above all else, to be a safe, reliable, compassionate, and attentive supporter of you, the client. It is my firm belief that everyone can experience profound and life changing healing and that much of the wisdom guiding that process flows from the client. I see the my role as therapist to be fully attentive, supportive and creative in assisting with the inner processes that bring the client’s psyche into its natural state of harmony and health. I have found various interactive and body-centered techniques to be effective and work with each individual to find the specific approach that works best for them..
